Rally and Write-a-thon for Darfur (Global Days for Darfur)
Vigil and rally at Washington Square Park We will join our voices to those of cities around the world. Learn about actions you can take to help the people of Darfur including the New York City and New York State targeted divestment campaigns. The event will include music, readings, prominent speakers and advocacy stations where you can write letters to policy-makers and legislators. There will also be a commemorative portion of the event in which we will remember the thousands of Darfuri villages that have been destroyed and the more than 450,000 people who have lost their lives. Help us to give voice to the voiceless! This event is co-sponsored by New York City Coalition for Darfur, Jewish Council on Public Affairs, and NYU-STAND.
