From iol news. Un relief coordinator to visit Darfur.

UN relief coordinator Jan Egeland is due to arrive in Darfur Sunday in the first visit by a UN official to the region after the signing of a peace deal between Khartoum and rebel factions, the United Nations said.

"Mr Egeland will reiterate his call to the international community for more humanitarian assistance for Darfur," said Elkoussy.

"The government would make a mistake if they think that signing with one party will make peace," Hassan Abdallah Ahmed, deputy leader of Islamist opposition Popular Congress Party, told Reuters.
