Notes, Italian Friends and Sceamers

14 Dec

A Washington Post article on China and Darfur for those following this. Time to crank in the chain in Darfur’s murdering president.

What we have been saying, the capital of the Sudan has people living in veritable luxury while Darfurians are still getting raped, murdered and displaced. China – the great bastion of human
right violations.

This is late but thanks for my Italian friends for sending this my way.

There is an interview at Italian blogs for Darfur
SLA/M spokesman ESAM ELAGH
; it has been translated

Another note which I made at my regular blog in regard to the movie Screamers released in Los Angeles last weekend.

This is a movie about the Armenian genocide and the culpability of the world in regard to it and reminder that there is no excuse.

The film is produced by Peter McAlevey and directed by Carla Garapedian and it features the music of System of a Down. The film opened last weekend in Los Angeles, so there is plenty of information on it all over the web if you are interested.

Screamers presents the mass murder of Armenians by the Turks, declares that world tolerance for this crime allowed the genocides that followed to occur.

Here is the six minute promo from you tube on Screamers.

Reading around about this I found a post in Life in the Armenian Diaspora.

The last paragraph of aforementioned post is fine.

I can’t say it any better.

“Sure, we can sign a petition, send a fax or an email…. but somehow, that’s not enough for me. Is it for you? And so… this movie says it best…. Everyone needs to become a SCREAMER! A SCREAMER is someone who doesn’t sit around while people die in Darfur… a SCREAMER doesn’t say, “well the past is the past” — a SCREAMER does not forget… a SCREAMER demands justice…. a SCREAMER is someone like the members of SOAD…

a SCREAMER is ——-you?”

ciao

Enough already!!! The world should do something to stop the genocide in Darfur. We owe it to them to help!
