Darfur Today.

05 Sep

So Ban Ki-Moon is “shocked and humbled” by his visit to Darfur. What took him so long is my question.

Thousands of refugees at Al Salaam camp in North Darfur chanted “Welcome! Welcome Ban Ki-Moon!” when the U.N. chief entered the camp, home to 46,000 Darfur refugees.

That they still have the spirit and the hope to cheer him gives me hope and show the human spirit is not that easily broken.

Oxfam pleased to see the secretary but still calling for swift action in the case of this situation.

That is the question indeed. I guess he was busy with more important things like twiddling his thumbs.

Why doesn’t Hollywood hire Blackwater to take care of Darfur?

What happens in Darfur reminds me of what happened in Uganda, so sad to see people are so crazy, same history shows again and again.
Also reminds me of the Culture Revolution that happened in China during which people were encouraged to be crazy or driven to be mad.I think there’s always a kind of original spirit of uprush inside every human mind.Things happening in Sudan can be happening to any country if the country is in the similiar situation with Darfur.
What we should do is to push the history forward hardly and look back from time to time, thus keeping a clear mind that though we human beings have gained a high level civilization, we are still animals, always with original uprush…
