ACTION: A direct line to China, Spread the Word

12 Feb

With the Beijing Olympics being a mere six months away it is important to take part.

Help stop the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Visit OurPledge.org.

[From the Save Darfur Coalition:]

The 2008 Olympic Games are now six months away. But as China is planning for the Games, it is ignoring the countless men, women and children suffering in Darfur.

Today we are holding press events at Chinese embassies and consulates around the world urging China to use its influence over Sudan to help end genocide.

Please join us by calling the Chinese Embassy to urge Sudan’s largest trade partner to help end the violence in Darfur.

Just follow these simple steps:

1. Call 202-338-6688 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST
2. Tell the person who answers the phone that in order to be a true Olympic leader, China must take an active role in pursuing peace and security in Darfur.
3.<a href=”http://action.savedarfur.org/campaign/chinaembassycall”> Click here to report your call back to us. (This step is very important for organizational purposes. Please don’t skip it.)

In preparation for the Olympic Games, the Chinese government is painting itself as a conscientious and responsible member of the world community. China must live up to this image and lead the world to help end to the crisis in Darfur.

Please follow the steps above and then click here to report your call back to us.

Thank you again for your unwavering commitment to the people of Darfur.

Best regards,

Colleen Connors
