And What of the Children?

01 Mar

The children of Darfur, at least half who, IRIN points out, have had no real education since the onset of this Genocide, because the programs for education of children who have fled their homes and are in refugees camps is slim and had to come by. Yet without education the future for the children and for Darfur looks dire. The economics of an area depends on education.

With increasing attacks, and more refugees fleeing over the border into Chad, things are beginning to look quite bleak, for Darfur and for the children.

But let’s have a grand old Olympics anyway….it’s not about the children, it’s about the athletes, goodwill, and all that bull shit.
