Roots of Humanity notes Congo Week

I encourage you to go there, read Josh Myers piece and check out the activities at Howard this week.

Enough Project  has launched the RAISE Hope for Congo campaign.

To protect and empower Congolese women and girls, is the hope of the campaign. Please check it out, the site notes several of the non governmental humanitarian organizations we support, most notably Women for Women International and The International Rescue Committee (Forgotten Crisis).

Women for Women features a NTY article on Honorata Kizende, a Women for Women International Congo program graduate, Rape Victims’ Words Help Jolt Congo Into Change.

Both sites list ways in which you can actively become involved in helping Congolese women.

One Congolese woman’s ‘silent scream’ is heard

Woman: ‘They wanted to destroy my body and spirit’

Commentary: Congolese rape victim learns to smile again

TEN REASONS WHY Eastern Congo is the Most Dangerous Place on Earth for Women.

There is a rather stunning slide show I found by way of if you click the “Lynsey Addario” link and choose Congo from her portfolio. It often helps to humanize people we don’t know and never see in real life to actually see them as they are. Real and quite human just like us. You can also get there via the Lynset Addario Link right here.

Marcus Bleasdale has a similarly startling photo essay.

Our God of Love in Jesus will deal with all the ones who obey the demons of hell & hurt & maime & kill & persecute the innocent world wide at whatever level you can imagine!

Blessed are the victims of these evil world systems & their monsters who are anti-Christ , anti-love, & anti-human!
