Oldie but Goodie, How (Not To) Talk About Africa

A post a Feministing reminded me of this essay by Binyavanga Wainaina. Wainaina is Kenyan born award winning writer, journalist, and currently a Bard Fellow running the Chinua Achebe Center for African Literature and Languages. Originally published in the 2005 Winter edition of Granta Magazine, it’s has been around and published elsewhere since. Narrated here by Djimon Hounsou.
