Found this story and link Scarlett Lion. It was definitely one of the more worthy things I’ve read today.

The Caine Prize for African Writing is a literary prize awarded each year for the best original short story by an African writer, whether in Africa or elsewhere, published in the English language.

The 2010 Prize has been awarded but the 2009 prize is one that many here will find intereting. Nigeria’s E. C. Osondu, for Waiting, from

Life of a dislocated person from a child’s point of view, it’s short and sweet, a must read.

If you enjoy his writing, The Atlantic recently published Osondu’s A Simple Case
